If I buy an MDA can I put my prepaid SIM card in it and use it with prepaid?

You can but you will not be able to use the internet on it. You'll just have a phone with windows programs on it. You might be able to use the internet if you have a WI-FI connection but I'm not totally sure.

The Wi-fi connection is a feature that comes on the phone and is not a part of a service. You can use it to browse at a free wi-fi place like panera bread.
