Calls that make you go HMMMMMMM

I had one call where I asked the lady what her cell phone number was. She said, "Don't you mean my home phone?" The lady on the phone SWORE up and down that she'd called her Verizon home phone call center. She told me I had a "snipe" mouth and said all sorts of confusing things that I suppose she meant to insult me. She told me I had no idea what I was doing, so I said, "then I cannot help you with your Verizon phone." She said she was going to call back and complain about me. I was fine with that, especially if she actually managed to call her home phone company the 2nd time. 🤣

I had another lady call and say that her husband was cheating on her, so she ran him over and was going to commit suicide. She was calling to ask my opinion of how she should kill herself! I suggested she hang up and call 911 instead. 😕

Wierdest calls you guys have had?

For future reference. Next time you have someone saying that is going to commit suicide you are ask if the customer is home (if not, their location) and then you call 911 and send them to wherever they are. You could had saved a life.

That is not true. Calling 911 from your call center's location will ring into the local 911 call center. That's why policy specifically states for you to direct the customer to hang up and dial 911 immediatly. T-Mobile realizes that customers dial 611 by mistake but the reps can't transfer or forward someone to 911. Use your head. 911 uses location based gps software to determine WHERE the caller is calling from.

Actually, for T-Mobile they do not use GPS for locator. I believe they use some sort of triangulation.

He didn't say Tmobile uses GPS at all. He said 911 uses a GPS locator software. Learn how to read BEFORE you try to respond.

How can you use a GPS locator if the service doesn't use GPS?

And I don't appreciate your paptronizing tone. Don't be a jerk.

911 has GPS software so they can pinpoint the position of a cell phone being used. T-Mobile doesn't have to have GPS software for another entity to pick up the location of that phone.

Thank you for your sane non-accusatory response. It sure would be nice if others could answer without making accusations of others being *stupid!*

I had this woman get pissed because she had to pay a deposit to get service in her name and her husband didn't. She insisted their credit scores were the same because as a married couple they now have the same ssn. I tried so hard to keep from laughing out loud at her stupidity.

hahaha I used to have a co-worker (at Staples) that kind of thought the same thing. She thought that her getting a divorce and getting her named changed back to her maiden name would make her credit better.
Yeah. You're still the same person...with the same bad credit.

That reminds me of a customer that I had who wanted me to change the billing name to her new married name. I gave her the fax number to send her marriage certificate to make the change, letting her know that I could only make changes due to spelling errors. She said she wasn't going to do it, and stated that if I didn't change it, we were never going to be able to bill her b/c she wasn't using her maiden name a...

getting back on track...

the other night I had a customer call me with questions about a referral. I know the customer as I activated her. She is a crossdresser. She told me that her girlfriend is getting out of prison November 22nd and she wanted to get information for her to get a T-Mobile phone so when she's out they can be connected.
Awe.
