I was first told 9/18 by a T-mobile customer care rep. That date came & went. Stores never got them. One store I go to has a display but none to sell. Then just today an employee at that store said they think they'll have a shipment mid-October but that I could order it today from cust care and have it by Monday. When I tried that the CC rep said it was not in the system yet, could not be ordered yet, and they had no release date in the system yet.

All that being said, I sure hope it's available on 10/2. I'm tired of waiting.

Ok, I just left Cingular and joined T-mobile, and this was one of the many reasons. Is T-mobile just like cingular where they claim release dates...and then 8 months later the phone actually comes out. I know all about unlocked phones. I just don't like the miscommunication that constantly goes on with Cingular.

I certainly hope that tmo is not playing the "Cingular" game of false release dates. I do know when the release date of the Moto v3i razr was announced on Cingular, it did make it to the store......SEVERAL WEEKS LATER. That being said, i just spoke to a tmo rep last night (make that two on two different times) and both said Oct 9. Keep your fingers crossed.

In general, T-Mobile does not give release dates for phones until the day they are released because they often change... In general employees are given speculated release dates and told not to tell anyone... but of course people do... then customers get mad because the phone wasn't released when the rep said.
This happens with every company WAY more than it should...
Please reps of all carriers, at least tell people that the relase dates are subject to change when you tell them about upcoming phones...
