i had(still using it, under contract) cingular for years and i always thought they had the best service, i knew their plans were rediculous w/ prices, cingular served me well but after what my friends told me(and how i can be in the same room and they have service and i dont) about how well t-mobile's coverage is, well i wont say coverage, lets say a reliable signal,

cingular's coverage has been eratic in my area(detroit) and just plain annoying at times, im not a cingular basher or a fanboy, i have no reason to be, no one is exempt from critisism(spelling's not good right now)

and its time for me to try something new, and the my faves features basically did it for me. plus unlimited txt(that might go away soon).

(oh and the cing...

Cingular's service is more dependent on the phone you get than many people are willing to admit.

But on the same token, I've noticed the quality of T-Mobile phones are much better overall when it comes to being able to avoid bad handsets.

Do you have an old LG or Samsung on your Cingular by any chance?

i know to avoid LG phone's, i have a Samsung D407, i got it when it first came out, and i do know that sometimes the phone is a factor in the quality of the call and signal but everyone i know who has cingular has similar complaints, but i know intergration is done and service should be better but im gonna try t-mobile, im still torn tho.

I have noticed too that T-Mobile in most places has far superior in buildiong coverage when compare to Cingular, by the way T-Mobile will have 3g in Detroit about middle of 07

It's really impossible for you to say this speaking for everyone in every situation. There will be situations where one carrier works better than another. It's the very nature of wireless service that everyone won't experience service the same way.

Are you sure that going from one of the worst Customer Service to the best won't be too much of a shock for you? 😉

Why would you even say this nonsense? This is a guy who did a simple post with what he feels are valid complaints about Cingular. Are you stupid or just immature? Maybe you're actually a little kid who sneaked onto his parent's computer and typed a post like that. Regardless, leave this to the adults, and go back to school where you can hopefully learn something useful. I'm really hoping that one of the things you learn is when to keep your idiotic mouth shut.

its alright i didnt even get it, i was seriously trying for like a couple of minutes to try and get it but i got better stuff to do, i think my complaints about cingular are valid because i actually have their service and if something is not fullfilling my needs then i will try something else, he should realize im not some fanboy who makes stupid comments about another cell phone company and never had their service before(look in the vzw forum)

The VZW forum is ridiculous. I told them I was leaving Verizon for T-Mobile and everyone was like why would you leave the best network...of course they were Verizon Reps, go figure.

I am going to cancel my service with Verizon and go to T-Mobile. I have had Cingular and Verizon, and Cingular had the best coverage in my book, but I have heard so many good things about T-Mobile, and they have service more times then I have with Verizon.

VZW needs to look at the Forum and realize people don't like the ridiculous plans or the UI or their crappy Bluetooth.

They recently changed how they detail the billing each month when you get your statement. My bill dropped 20 dollars from last month without any change in plan nor did I go over o...

great choice, and i agree, i couldnt be with a company that dictated what can i do with my phone and not, all carriers do it but not to the extreme like vzw, and im a customization freak, i could not look at some vomit inducing ui everytime i flip my phone open, and cant even customize it, and i can careless about a flash ui, i prefer the manufacturer's ui, like samsungs, and that's what i have
