I saw some talk about it being released the first week of October or so but then haven't heard anything since. Also, my contract expires on December 30, so do I have any options to get upgrade pricing prior to the 11 months (Nov 30)?

There were unconfirmed reports that the phone was to be released on Oct 9. I ventured out to my local tmo store and much to my dismay, the phone had not made it in yet. Now they are saying Oct 16 at the latest, although i will take that with a grain of salt. I know there are a lot of impatient customers out there waiting for the 6133 but i'll take my chances and wait for this phone. After careful studying, i can highly recommend the 6133, i dont think you'll be disappointed. As for your upgrade pricing, i dont think so but just to be sure you may want to call customer care.

I managed to play with a 6126 at a Cincinnati Bell Wireless (Cingular) store back home in Cincinnati this weekend and it was a pretty sweet phone, I am just waiting for it to be released and my contract to expire 😎

According to a poster at Howardforums who stated he wrote tmo. This was the answer he got. Follow this link and look for the post by TCNJFox which is on the last page of the thread.

There are a lot of positive reports about the handset but it has a lot of the negatives that the basic models have. The best feature of it is the Java for games and for online use but otherwise it is going to be an expensive, yet continuously reliable product from Nokia. Also the screen far overshadows Nokias previous handset screens. But again being able to demo the handset, good handset...not impressed.
