I'm confused.

My error:

I entered my sim pin 3 times in error.

I received a "Sim Blocked" message with an option to "unblock."

When

I press unblock and it asks for "PIN1 Unblock Code:"

I assume it is asking for the PUK code which i entered after calling T-Mobile. It did not work. Tmobile advised to either try "000000" or call MOTOROLA directly.

My thoughts is that i have an older SIM card that may not be allowing me to unlock it with the PUK code.

I don't think the issue is the L7, since i used a tmobile offered nokia with my sim, and it requested the PUK code directly. I also put my friends T-Mobile sim, and it worked right up with my SLVR L7.

You have three chances to enter your PIN in your SIM. If you don't, it will lock it out, much like your bank will lock out your ATM card if you enter the wrong PIN three times. To unlock it, you need to enter a special PIN. TMobile should have the PIN. I doubt Motorola would have it, because I don't think they make SIM cards. I could be wrong. I would try to call customer support, and get someone who understands the problem. BTW, if you enter the wrong special PIN too many times, the SIM will be locked out for good and be worthless.

The "special sim" is a PUK code, which he said he's already received by call CC and it's still not working.

If T-Mo CS can't get you the PUK code then I'd just have them send you a new SIM. They're the only ones that would have it.
