Do I have to pay the $200 early termination fee?

My new T-Mobile phone doesn't get strong signals in office. It has been activated for about a week. I heard that the $200 fee is waived for cancellation within 14 days from activation. But that day a T-Mobile representative I called also mentioned that the total usage time needs to be less than 30 minutes. I used much more minutes than that. Do I need to pay the $200 fee?
Thanks.

How do you calculate the pay for the minutes then?
Say, I am in the "Get More 600 minutes" plan, and I used 200 anytime minutes, 1000 offpeak minutes and I have been in the plan for 1 week.
Thanks.

divide the plan minutes by price figure out how much it is per minute about 6 cents the u use 200 any time minutes so your bill will be abput 19 50 plus tax

Incorrect! But thanks for playing... in the case of a buyer's remorse cancellation, the ETF and activation fee are waived and the customer is liable for the prorated monthly charges for the days of service used plus per line fees.

If those 200 minutes were accomplished during the course of one day on a 39.99 rate plan, the prorated monthly charges would be 1.33, not 19.50, the per line charges would run about 1.50, so your "estimate" is off by about fifteen bucks. Since we don't prorate based on minute usage, your analysis was flawed from the start, which is what I was trying to point out before you led someone totally astray. As for going to play in another forum, where else would you suggest a TMobile customer care agent hang out? 🙄

No you dont have to pay the ETF. T-Mobile will just charge you the prorated amount for the minutes/features used.
