3G - Any news, status, updates??

Does anyone have any insight regarding 3G data with T-mobile. Other carriers are getting my attention as EVDO and 3G revision are already occurring and all I've got is EDGE.

Testing in New York now. Launch will be next year. T-Mobile received the spectrum and still has to build out the network.

Is that why there are so many EDGE network and voice outages being reported? I mean like slow EDGE speeds.
