Need help

I just recently bought a t-mobile motorola pebl. I had to wait the 90 days to get the unlocking code because I have Cellular One. When I put my cell one sim card in the phone, the phone would ask for subsidiary code (unlocking code). Well I monkey'd around and put a few codes in, then the phone finally said contact service provider.

After the 90 days, T-Mobile gave me the unlocking code. I used the t-mobile sim card to get into the phone and unlock it. Now when I put my cell one sim card in, the phone still says contact service provider.

What service provider do I contact? Anyone have any ideas?

i would say you would contact Cellular One. the sim card itself probably got locked because you had so many unsuccessful attempts...

Some phones, if you put the unlock code in wrong too many times, will permanantly lock and the only way to get them fixed is to have the manufacturer reflash the software :-/

You permanently locked the phone. You can call T-Mo, let them know that you accidentally put the sim unlock code number in wrong too many times and permanently locked the phone, and T-Mo can exchange the phone for you. You will need a new sim unlock code, however, b/c the sim unlock code are phone specific. It's never a good idea to "play" with codes. If you "play" with a PUK code, it'll damage the sim card and you've have to purchase a new one.

It might help if you could say who the carrier is.

The carrier of the phone is T-Mobile. Umm that's why I'm in the T-Mobile forum. The carrier I have is Cellular One.

You need whoever originally used the phone with T-Mo to exchange it.
