I was recently looking into tmobile and had some questions. I currently have cingular but am not happy with their data and international charges. I was wondering how often TMobile updates it's coverage because it is a little sparse in west TN. Also I have a Nokia 7250i phone I use in Europe can I just use it with T-Mobile. It is unlocked, but I can't seem to get it to work now here and how hard would it be to configure for mobile internet use here in AMerica. Would someone at a store know?

What data needs do you have, first off. When you mention international charges, where are you calling and from where?

If your phone does not support 1900 MHz GSM it will not work on T-Mobile, as that is the only US band they use.

If you travel to Europe frequently my suggestion would be get into a Quad-Band GSM phone and get prepaid SIM cards in Europe.

I believe I read something relatively recently from T-Mobile that indicated that they were going to concentrate on making there coverage more solid in areas that they are already in, but not to expand into areas where they currently do not have coverage. I would take this to mean that they are working towards filling in some of the holes in their coverage in major metropolitan areas, while if you are in the boonies and don't have coverage from T-Mobile currently, don't expect them to cover your area any time soon.

Aha, found the link to the T-Mobile press release that gave me these deranged thoughts
