Unlimited numbers on MyFaves through GrandCentral.com

🤤 Check this out. I just figured out that if you get a free account at www.grandcentral.com and then use your GrandCentral number as on of your MyFaves, you can choose to show all inbound calls through your GC number (GC is a service that people call to find you on all your phones), then all calls through your GC number will be part of MyFaves and will be totally free! Same for outbound! If you use the GC click2call service from their website (you click the "call" button next to a number in your inbox or address book) and GC will call you and the other person...showing the GC number as the caller ID again! Totally free outbound! You should check it out!

omg 🙄

It's probably not illegal unless it states that in your contract. They will just shut off your service and say goodbye to you.

any carrier will shut you off if you are costing them a lot more money than they get from you.

When things sound too good to be true- they usually are. AND even if I could do it, T-Mobile would probably shut me off. & I love TM!

I did this early last year with my myFaves plan. It does work, but I didn't ever abuse it. I only used it to get free unlimited calls to my voicemail. 😉

T-mobile will shut you off for as they put it "Unusual Calling Patterns" like all your calls going into and out of one source. 😎

In the not too distant past T-Mobile gave a choice to many users they determined were not profitable due to abusing "unlimited" min and were no longer within contract. They could either cancel or switch to a plan that included NO unlim min, and they would no longer be eligible for a plan that included any unlimited min EVER. So, don't just assume what T-Mobile would or would not do. 🙄

1) I am not a dude.

2) Unless your "reliable resource" is Robert Dotson, then I wouldn't put too much faith in it.

And what does your "source" say about MOU customers? 🙄

I know people in retention, too. I don't believe retention handles MOU customers, though. If you want more info, do a search in SL.

dudette 😁, i filed a v ticket and it was passed to retention/save process. this is what they said for your info:

"We monitor usage of contact numbers and if we see a number that is being added as a contact for lots of people the number is blocked from myFaves."

No, he meant Sreamline. It's sort of an online info source only available to T-Mobile employees on the T-Mobile intranet.

They won't shut you off unless you give them a reason to (i.e. using 10,000 minutes per month on that one number). Like I said in an earlier post, I only did this last year to get free unlimited voicemail, and that never exceeded 500 minutes per month, and allowed me to go down to the 300 myFaves plan. It's a good way to save a little bit of money and doesn't violate your terms and conditions at all.

Don't abuse it and you won't have to worry.

This is very similar to what I do already. I signed up for a VoIP carrier 2 years ago and it has a call forwarding option. I can go to the website and change the # it forwards to at any time.

It is a lil different I guess since I actually pay for my VoIP but all the same in principle. And as to the comments I have read about being canceled for using soo many minutes I am not sure. I don't think I have ever used less than 10,000 night and weekend minutes since I signed up in 01. And for the last 2 years all my calls are placed to that one #.

Oh well, I guess I am not cool enough for an ultimatum. 😢

hmmm...... i would have to say that any cell carrier will shut you off for excessive, unusual, costly, or interfering usage. it depends on what the terms and conditions are. they might have a report or audit on the myfaves to make sure it isnt excessive to the same number.
