Does this mean T-Mobile USA will...

Does this mean T-Mobile USA will get the Sony Ericsson D750?

http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=1394&source=RE ... ยป

"It appears that the Sony Ericsson D750, a T-Mobile branded version of the K750 that was slated for T-Mobile's European networks, might actually make it to the USA. The 2 megapixel camera-equipped device recently showed up on the US Government's FCC website, sporting the familiar T-Mobile logos and branding that differentiate it from a regular K750. No word yet if Sony Ericsson is planning a 850/1900Mhz version of the K750 with EDGE support for the country's largest network, Cingular."

In which I eat some EasyGPRS crow...

Okay, I finally got hold of a copy of EasyGPRS and it is not, in fact, vaporware. On the contrary, it's a nifty little utility and I like it very much. I had a big old file of 300 .mmf ringtones sitting around on my laptop and I sent a bunch of them to my phone, along with some images and backed up my phonebook, SMS records, scheduled alerts and call records on my hard drive. It also lets one send SMS using the computer keyboard, and I'm looking forward to getting the settings to try using the phone as a modem. The infrared works a lot better and easier than I'd been led to believe, all in all a nice little program.

Some days I really enjoy being a geeky person... ๐Ÿ˜Ž

service outage....

I just talked to CS about a customer I recently sold a couple of phones to and apparently around 30% of TM's subscribers nation wide aren't able to receive incoming calls right now due to some technical difficulty.

Just a heads up for anyone with angry customers.

CS hold time is around 20-30 minutes right now, but if you can get through, they're adding 50 bonus minutes to anyones account who has been affected.

HELP!!!!! WTF is up with my voicemail?

OK for the past three weeks anytime someone gets my voicemail instead of getting a message, they either get

#1: this number is not in service
#2: the subscriber you are trying to reach has traveled outside the area
#3: my voicemail
#4: rapid busy signal

There is no rhyme or reason to this. I am in the 757 area code if that makes a difference. I have never had any problems with t-mobile but I may end up quitting them because of this if it is not sorted out.

FAMILY PLANS!!!! HELP NEEDED

i am stuck between getting cingular or tmobile. here are the details

T-Mobile

Pros
-inexpensive (least expensive family plan for 4 starting at $70)
-they have coverage in my area, and i don't travel a lot, so roaming isn't a big deal

Cons
-BAD PHONE LINEUP (i only want 2 of their phones, samsung e315 and motorola v330)
-t-mobile seems girly, especially with their phones, but i think i can manage

Cingular

Pros
-Finally, i can afford the MOTOROLA RAZR V3!!!! it costs about $150 at a store by me
-they have coverage in my area, and if i find myself in a strange area, i can rely on coverage to call and get help
-good phone line-up, very manly

Cons
-Family plan starts at $90!!!!!!
-expanding from above, expensive

Discount Plans?

Ok so I had TMobile for a year till I went to Cingular because they have corporate discounts because of where I work. I get 18% off every month. I miss TMobile because the customer service was so nice and the service was great. Cingular service sucks at my house near the border to Canada.

Can someone tell me if TMobile offers corporate discounts. Like I just took my paystub to cingular and got 18% off my bill.

Thanks

Chicago Area Problems?

All day my sidekick has been "searching" for a signal. Occasionally it would grab a T-Mobile tower, but then about 30 minutes later it would go back to searching (it did this about 3 times today)so... For most of the day i have been without my Sidekick, I was wondering if anyone knew of some outage effecting the Chicago area, or if it is a problem with my device (reason I suspect the former is b/c my brother said he was having the same problem with his Sidekick).

Any help?
thanks

Blackberry Connect

In Europe, carriers and RIM have launched a service called Blackberry Connect. Basically, it allows you to use Blackberry Internet E-mail or a Blackberry Enterprise Server on with other manufacturers, eg: Nokia. To do this, a pin is generated from the IMEI.

I recently had a customer call in and say that he has friends using Blackberry Connect, with T-Mobile USA, using Nokias and SE's. According to his friends, RIM generated the pin from the imei. I called 2 different reps at RIM and they both said that this is NOT avail in the US at all, and that in the countries where it is available, the carrier generates the pin. The customer did not accept this b/c he stated he KNEW people, on T-Mobile USA, who are using Blackberry Connect.

No SMS to Europe

Hello folks,

I was wondering if somebody with a To Go account has been able to send SMS overseas (Europe). I'm using a Sony Ericsson Z600 and I've never succeded in sending a short message to somebody in Europe, even if I change the phone they don't receive it. My phone says "SMS sent", but they just don't receive them (tried to UK and Italy).
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Weirdness on PCC

Does anyone know what 'brown' coverage means on the PCC map? Try typing in Laguna Beach, CA and then click on one of the mountains just outside of it (it looks like a dead spot).

I've tried on two different computers now and with two different browsers (Opera and Internet Explorer), and it shows up as brown instead of green, yellow, blue, or gray. Does this mean something different or is it just a glitch? Thanks in advance.

Switch back from Cingular

Ok so I had to leave T-Mobile in December because I get a discount from Cingular because of where I work. I get 18% off my bill every month just because of where I work. However, I hate Cingular service in my area and I LOVED T-Mobile for the most part. Can someone tell me if T-Mobile offers discounts like Cingular does?
