Dropping the ball

How many of you think that T Mobile has really dropped the ball and let VZ show them up with Android handsets? While they were the first to offer the platform, VZ's releases have been much better planned and the devices have been much better. The mid-level Eris is better than any T Mobile Android phone and that says a lot. While the new plans are great, I just feel that they will never offer any devices to compliment those plans. VZ and ATT just has so much more to offer in this department. Its almost like they have conceded to the big guys and now want to stay on par with MetroPCS or Cricket. Thats my take. What do you guys think?

Sony Ericsson Equinox or Nokia 3711?

I'm trying to decide between these 2 handsets, they're both 3G and don't require me to have a data plan permanently once I upgrade. I kind of like the equinox but hate the fact that it has proprietary jacks and will only use a memory stick and the Nokia has a 2.5 mm jack and only ships with a mono earpiece.

I want a phone that I can listen to music with and access Google maps. I'd prefer a BB 9700 or the Behold 2 but its not feasible at the moment. All the same ladies and gentlemen which of these two phones would you go with? BTW, the equinox is on sale now and the 3711 is not!

Thanks.

T-Mobiles expantion into rural markets

Lately I have seen a lot of coverage expansion in Western Oklahoma with actual T-mobile service. Is this a sign that T-mobile is trying to level the playing field in rural coverage or is it an attempt to patch their network gaps since AT&T is tightening it's rules on roaming. Either way I don't see much gain from this other then reaching markets that Verizon and Sprint have limited access to. Unless perhaps they are supplying equipment to oil company's since they have a lot of wells in that part of the state and they have to monitor those wells. Is this only isolated to Oklahoma or is it everywhere?

How disappointing TMO, you let me down...

During the current nor'easter, I lost TMO at the house when power went down in our neighborhood. We have a transmitter at the neighborhood pool, and apparently it went off line when my power went out. When we drove out of our neighborhood to get dinner, the TMO picked up service down the road...

But the good news is I have 2 other carriers as well, neither of which had any interruptions. One is Big Red and the other is our regional low cost carrier.

I expected more.

D.O.S = Death Of Sidekicks

Does anyone out here think the sidekick could make a come back? I mean the sales had to be down in the 1st place than the data crash sent most to another network or device (cliq or g1). What can Tmobile do to bring back a phone who was one of its best sellers if not the Tmobile Flagship for a very long time?

I think It's over Unless they Release a Touch Screen Android Sk

Does anyone else hate T-Mobile's phonebook back-up system?

I'm about to "hurl" my phone at the wall, flush it down the toilet, or do something "bad" to T-Mobile! I hate the My T-Mobile address book back-up system!

The problem was worse with the Samsung T-659 I had, but is happening again with the Sony Ericsson Equinox I just purchased. I finally get the address book in and right, but then I simply try to enter in a new entry. When my phone then talks to the website and visa-versa, it then duplicates, triplicates and "mixes" contacts together! mad::banghead: If I go in either to the website or phone...delete the duplicates, it'll then put them back in again! Or it'll take my personal addresses and put them back in as a business address in my phone!

Recently I had the audacity to add in a ne...

T mobile Tap (US) vs T mobile Pulse (UK)

These 2 phones are similar but the Pulse runs Android and the Tap doesn't. For the price point it would have been great to have a phone that comes in at a lower price than say the Eris but TMo in my opinion dropped the ball on this one buy not getting android on this phone.
If anyone has seen the video for the Pulse you'd probably agree.

Flex Pay Customers Limited to Two Lines?

Hello! I'm a long-time lurker and first time poster - so please be gentle with me! lol. Here's my situation and question.

I'm a Flex-Pay Annual customer (8 months into a 2 year contract). I have two lines, both Blackberry devices. I want to add a third line (just a normal voice line).

I was told two weeks ago in my local store that I could migrate to the Even More plan and stay under contract and add a third line for 10 bucks more to share the minutes on my existing plan.

However, when I returned to the store yesterday to do just that I was told that a Flex-Pay customer is only allowed to have two lines. She said I might could add a third line but it would have to be an Even More Plus (no contract and full cost equipment) pl...

Project Black......what a fizzle!!!

What kind of overpaid marketing and accounting morons thought of these plans?

Every carrier out there has some kind of "my faves" plan.....AT&T has A-list with rollover and Verizon has it's friends and family. Why in the world would TMobile go backwards?

With these plans, you definitely don't get any more than you would with AT&T, who to me has always been way more expensive than TMobile.

This is a joke!!!! With the lackluster phone selection and what they've got in the pipeline, I don't see how they thought Project Black was going to change the wireless industry.

Delayed messages?

TMO customers what's you're experience with delayed SMS & MMS? 😕

It seems that if it's TMO-TMO whatever kind of message it is it goes through quickly.
If it's say VZW-TMO most of the time SMS goes through normally but sometimes it's delayed. And as for MMS, well I had one take 6 Hrs for the recipient to receive it. 😕

I'm on VZW and wondering why I can text someone on TMO and it goes through just fine, text someone else on TMO and it gets delayed.

And I'm wondering if TMO's new 3G has anything to do with delayed picture messages?
