I highly doubt there will be another iDEN smartphone, but there will probably be a smartphone which features QChat (which Sprint is calling Nextel Direct Connect).

QChat is push-to-talk deployed over EVDO rev. A. Sprint is going to label it "Nextel Direct Connect" like the traditional iDEN handsets' service—that is, Sprint isn't going to use the term "QChat." It supposedly will be very close to the speed of PTT over iDEN. The first handsets should be released early next year. Check the threads over on the Sprint forum, as someone posted a link to an image of some mock-ups. None of those depicted were smartphones, but it isn't inconceivable that one would eventually be made to feature the new PTT service and thus replace the i930.
