it depends where you are from but they are very good in certain places... if you know and have friends that have nextel you might as well get it... you also have a 15 day policy to try the service...

i have had nextel for 5-6 years now and i havnt had any major problems with my service...

just make sure your dad doesnt get the 730 becuase that phone is terrible...

overall, i would say that nextel is very good, and again he can always try it but, if it doesnt serve his needs then he can always get rid of it. (obviously if its prior to the 15 day policy is up)

My brother has a nextel, cant wait til his contract is over so he can switch. Terrible service, but you might have great service where you live. Every company has a 15 day trial period, except Cingular, they have a 30-day trial period. Is ptt that important? If so and thats what youre looking for then i dont think its gonna matter about coverage, nextel would be the way to go.
