First of all, I'm not claiming that what I'm about to tell you is the "absolute truth" I'm just telling you what I've heard, because I think people here want to know. I have family that work for nextel. The i930 has pretty much been confirmed. However, it will not have bluetooth. It will have iden, Widen, and GSM, because it is going to be nextel's new world phone. Which means that phone will already have triple radios, and I haven't seen a quaddruple radio phone yet. What IS going to happen though is there is going to be a whole i9xx series. There will be an i960 that improves upon the i930 and adds bluetooth in exchange for removing the gsm functionality. The i930 and i960 will both be windows mobile smartphones, presumably with the new windows mobile 5.0. Then there will be an i980, which will be nextel's first PDA phone...yes, that's right, PDA phone. This information is not completely confirmed, but again, this is what I've been told by nextel employees. From what I hear, this is a giant joint venture between nextel, motorola, and microsoft. All phones will have camera (rumors of 2+ megapixels) and flash card slots. I know I've seen alot of people thrash nextel for being seriously behind in technology on their phones. Well, nextel's vision isn't to be the first, it's to be the best, and this new line of phones is going to blow everyone away, from the impressions I'm getting. Nextel is going to catch up on alot of time in one fell swoop. Now I also know alot of people are probably still saying something like, "They didn't give the i930 bluetooth?!?!?!" Well, I think what they did was smarter. Rather than try to pack everything into one phone, they made an entire line with different features that may appeal to different people. Just thought you all would like to know....

Just wondering if anyone had seen this....I think this is some pretty big news....I guess maybe people looked at the title and assumed I was another person asking questions, but as you can see, I am not.

For the benefit of people like MarkF, here is some specs from the FCC's website stating that the i930 is indeed a Triband Iden, Widen, and GSM phone, confirming what I said on this post. Now there is no concrete information yet on the i960 or i980, so you people can choose to believe me or not, but I was the first one on here to give this particular information on the i930 and this proves it:

So what are we looking at? Somewhere between 2007-2009?

I know this is an old thread, but on the bottom page 2 of this FCC URL states that the i930 is capable of PCS 1900 and hence could easily be adapted to it.
