Im a light user on minutes but sometimes i use a little more than normal (normal=500-600) but i am a heavier data user.....what can you do which company do you suggest is best

well nextel is very good if you need direct connect and you dont want to waste other minutes. its also very good if you know other nextel people.

what does nextel do thats the best? offer great products and pretty good rate plans.

what makes nextel the best? free incoming, and direct connect.

data? i wouldnt say nextel becuase the data speeds are quite slow, but it is good. i would go with sprint if you want data, though.

I agree, the 'free incoming' plans are cool... Their biggest attribute IS the Direct Connect walkie-talkie feature. Zero latency, select the person you want to talk to and even if they are in CT and you are in CA, in no time a connection is made. Other carriers are still trying to create a PTT solution that can mirror Nextels...

the key word in that sentence is trying. no one will succeed at this. the only push to talk solution that will be good over any network especially over a high speed network is Qchat and as you know nextel owns the rights to it.

And you know this how? By the way, Qchat hasn't even been subjected to a network experiencing heavy traffic...let's give it a chance before we proclaim it "God of PTT solutions". Thanks...

...and good luck. 😉

Its inconsequential. Nextel's current PTT solution is superior, no one carrier (Cingy, Verizon, Sprint, Alltel) have ever come up with a commerical to say, "Hey! Test us against Nextel, you'll like what you hear!"
I'm so glad QChat has undergone testing with ten different handsets and a network overloaded with traffic and not just a PC running a cellphone OS emulator connected to an RF antennae...

yea, qchat will be fun. testing over the rev a network was about 1-2 seconds, which is extremely good. in addition, put qchat and rev a together with their data services, what will that do? entice a lot of subscribers, improve churn, improve arpu, improve data arpu, and finally improve lifetime revenue per user.

no one will be good against Nextel with push to talk now and no one will be as good as Nextel/sprint when they will have qchat. that is a fact!

actually alltel has a comparison chart of their service to nextel's. They also inlcude the other carriers in that as well but most of the portion is focused on them and nextel.
