What is considered a Nextel affiliate?

I would like to know what an affiliate is. There is an authorized Nextel store in my city that sells only Nextel now but this is not a Nextel retail store. Is this an affiliate?

That would be considered an agent location. They act on behalf of Nextel.

A Nextel affiliate is a company who uses the name "Nextel" to offer service in your area but is not owned by Nextel themselves. These are companies, mainly in smaller markets, that are seperately owned.

Nextel partners would be their affiliate. authorized wouldnt be an affiliate. they would be called a REP or something of that sort. an affiliate would use their network (and pay for it of course). example, nextel partners and nextel. another one, sprint pcs and US wired (who was just bought out). hope you get it. 🙂
