Sim Card question
Hello, I currently have an i730 and was thinking of purchasing an i60 on eBay for a backup phone. Will the sim card work on the older phone? Thanks in advance!

No, I believe iXXX phones use a different SIM than iXX phones... In other words, the three digit model #s use a different one than the two digit models.

It would work; however, the functions on the 3-digit sim card wouldn’t work properly on the 2digit phone. The phone would work, though.

I had the same question a few weeks ago about using my i58sr sim in a i355. You told me the contacts would not come over and some of the functions probably wouldnt work.
NEW INFO: I put my sim from the i58sr in a i355 and everything worked fine. Also a friend just let me borrow an i830 and the sim worked in that phone as well, contacts and all.
Is your info coming from experience in trying this switch with different phones or is this info your providing is from someone telling you that it wont work? Let me know.

Really? Well, I believe I said that the contacts would come over, but some of the functions wouldn’t work. Such as on 3 digit phones you have MMS and things of that nature.
Its from experience and what others tell me.
Fact is; contacts will come over but functions wont work such as mentioned above. That is what happens. 2 digit sim cards don’t have mms while 3 digit sim cards do.

I have actually investigated with the whole sim card situation conversation and that wasn’t me who told you that information. It is on this url; https://www.phonescoop.com/carriers/forum.php ?fm=m&ff=6&fi=344688 and carocell was the one who told you “thats right, the 2 digit series sim will work in the 3 digit, but you wouldn't be ablr to use all the functions of the 355, and possibly none of your contacts would come over.”
Therefore, you have the wrong person with that whole situation because I am not carocell
