Anyone know what the going rate on an i730 is through the Nextel Buyback program? And how do you initiate it?

Let me address your inquiry.

Go to www.nextelbuyback.com and then input either your cellular number or Nextel account number where it says to input it. Then, you select the phone i730 that you want to put to the program. After that make sure you select “account credit” and then follow the necessary instructions. You would need to return the phone, obviously, and they would provide a mailing label to ship it to them. The i730 is going for $30.

If you need more help, please let me know.

As opposed to what though?

I think 760 is a good phone, but against others that Nextel sells, I believe that it isn’t.

Is the i760 a good upgrade from the i730? It was the last Nextel phone I purchased before getting out of the biz... Went from an i1000 to the i60 to the i530 to the i730... OR! Should I see about migrating over to the Sprint side, PTT is kind of useless to me now...

Well, anything that you get is a huge upgrade from the i730, because that phone is extremely horrible. And I would say yes it is a good upgrade, but I would rather have you choose another phone and try to stay away from the 730’s and 760’s of the worlds, however, I think you should try other models such as the i860 or something of that sort. The problems is, though, I don’t know what your needs are with the phone situation so I can’t really decide for you, but if you do tell me what your needs are then I can help you decide more.

Again, I am not sure of what your needs are so I cant really decide if you were to go to sprint’s side. It all depends what your needs are because ultimately the carrier that has the most functions you would prob...

Just voice, PTT is no longer an issue bec its back to just my wife and I... She seems to like the i850 (moved her over from Cingy) she just bought... It seems though, I can save some schmeckels if I migrated over to SprintPCS...

Yes, the 850 Is a nice phone and I have to say that it was a nice purchase by your wife, but I don’t think it’s the best phone that Nextel has. Nonetheless, she did well.

If you go to sprint pcs, and you get better reception, then you can switch.

If you want just voice, well it is hard to decide because you didn’t tell me how many mins do you use, you didn’t tell me if you do mobile to mobile with your wife and others, if people have sprint pcs or Nextel that you know, and other factors so it’s still hard to decide.

If you want to give me more information, I can try to help you better.

The rest of the family is a mixture of Cingy and Sprint... We're probably the only ones that have Nextel... And M2M would be nice outside of the PTT thats free... We avg about 1000 mins between the two of us... I have one acct with two phones each on their own plan... Me=300 unl incom and my wife= 1000min 55.99 plan... Maybe if Nextel offered M2M for cell calls vs PTT, that would be cool...

Yea, but (not speaking with the merger) I don’t think Nextel would be doing m2m because they have push to talk and they work on different networks and one costs more, and I wouldn’t think it would be beneficial if Nextel had either or push to talk and m2m. Yea, m2m would be a nice addition; however, I don’t think that would happen, but in some markets, they were testing m2m; I can’t state the status on that, though.

Seems to me that you are looking for m2m because as you mentioned you and your wife are the only people who have Nextel and it would be economical for you guys to join sprint so you can talk to your family free. I would think you should wait a little bit that is so you can see if m2m will be free between sprint and Nextel sin...
