Merger Question

I was looking Over the Sprint Nextel website, in the FAQs it said in the next few weeks I could switch over from Sprint to Nextel (or vice versa) without paying an ETF, activation fee or having to run my credit or pay a deposit. All I have to do is resign a 2 yr. agreement. Any truth to that? Thanks in advance for your help.

No Its WRONG! In order to go from nextel to sprint they will have to re-run your credit. You will get charged an upgrade fee, and if you are still within a contract you will get charged a cancellatino fee BUT it will get credited back to you(you wont have to pay the cancellation fee). The only time you wont get charged an upgrade fee is when you upgrade from CDMA to CDMA. Even thought the company is one, the systems and many other things will continue to be separated. It will take time before all is integrated.

At that point, customers who would like to switch services between the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network (CDMA) and the Nextel National Network (IDEN) and will not be charged an early termination fee, activation fe...
