Depends on what you need to do. They are at the opposite ends as far a capabilities, i.e. SmartPhone vs. Multimedia, and highly doubt that anyone can answer the question to your satisfaction without additional information.

If you haven't already you can review them here:

I guess what I really need to know is, which is the most reliable, most durable, most dependable of the two? 😕

They haven't been out that long (less than 2 months) for anyone to really know. But being both are Motorola iDEN products you can expect them to be as durable as their past phones.

If you going to use the phone in a harsh environment I would recommend on getting one that is MilSpec compliant which neither of these are.

I agree with MarkF..it depends on what type of work you do and what you are trying to do with your phone. As I look at your name I am thinking you are a PE Teacher...I feel that would cause for a more durable phone that would be able to with stand you running around the school gym and it fall from your pocket...My suggestions are as follows....i530, i560, i205, i305, i355...

Yuck. I wouldn't recommend an i530 or an i205 or an i305 to my worst enemy. These are possibly the worse phones that Motorola ever made for Nextel. They have made worse ones for Verizon Wireless, i265/276, but these are JUNK. Stay away!

The reason I would recommend these phones is because if he wants something durable and that will be able to withstand anything...
