Text messaging
I keep receiving text messages from people outside of the nextel network (cingular, verizon, etc.). I never have any idea who they are from though because the phone (i730) doesn't tell me. If I receive a text message from another nextel user I at least get their phone number so I can figure out who it is.
Is there a way around this with the i730? Do the newer phones have this problem? I'm considering the i560, i850, and i870.

Any phone with MMS capability will. I personally recommend the 870. Wife has it and like it much better than her 860.

I don't know what MMS is. What phones othe than the 870 will do it? While the 870 is on my list, at $300 and with a bunch of useless bells and whistles it's pretty far down on the list.
