Once again my Bill was wrong again for the 3rd month>

Today i was told since i have the Blackberry with a Fair and Flex Plan i dont get Local DC mins...But i pay for 10.00 extra for NationWide Unltd DC mins...But it doesnt include Local Area..So I askd NationWide doesnt mean NJ (since this is where i live)...

So I can go to CA,FL,WA,GA,TX and not get charge for my DC mins. But when I am in NJ(this where i live) I get charged because my plan doesnt have Local DC min..But i pay for NationWide Unltd DC mins

and the customer Serv tells me yes this is correct..

So i say what does NationWide mean. everywhere but the current state u live in to SprinTel..If so

They have a long way to go...

Can some one help please... 🤭 😕

the customer service rep is correct. since you have the fair and flex plan, you have to pay .15/min for your local direct connect. when you have the nationwide unlmited direct connect, it is just for nationwide, and does not include your local area.

hope that helps 🙂

you should either pay the $10 per month for unlmited local connect or seek another plan that best suits your direct connect needs.

WOW. I hope this crap doens't start happening to customers once the Partners is merged. I sell in a partners market and all the 10.00 does is CONVERT whatever walkie talkie minutes you have to nationwide walkie talkie. If you have 250 mintues...they are local unless you pay that 10.00. But all plans I would sell has unlimited local walkie talkie and with 10 bucks you get nationwide too...except for free incoming, all those have nationwide included.

Pre & Post merger Nextel plans have always sucked. The plans either argue each other or blatantly spell out there is no way to save a buck, you will be nickel & dimed to death...

No, Partners/Nextel will not solve anything. The only opt-out pre Sprint would've been to start convincing and forcing Nextel side people to the free INC plan(s)....

That's where njbogdog has issues. You can only add "unlimited" NW Direct Connect minutes to a plan that has local minutes to begin with. If he has pay-as-you-go DC it doesn't matter what buy-up he has he will be charged.

He just won't be charged the additional 10 cents per minute...which would be on top the 10 cents per minute of pay as you go use

I've been on a Free Incoming Plan for over 3 years. I've never once had an issue with billing. Since the merger, the plan actually got better by including nationwide DC, and I swithched to the new Free Incoming. I would strongly recommend the plan to anyone seeking voice and DC usage.

Sounds like the wrong SOC is on your account. You need to get ----UNLIMITED LOCAL DC $10/mo---- on the account, and "nationwide included access" falls into that. I don't know the exact SOC code right now cuz I'm not at work.

The rep attached nationwide DC to your phone. If you shop nextel.com it will not let you choose that, but instore and telesales can put anything on an account, even if its pointless or mis-associated. Hope that helps.
