Nextel18 Can you explain....
A little about the nextel partners?? In my area Nextel website redirects you to another website. (the coverage is horrible) But what exactly are Nextel Partners? Would my bill come from them or from Nextel? If Nextel partners own towers why not just open their own wireless? Any explanation would be greatly appreciated?

nextel partners is an affiliate of nextel, but wont be soon becuase of the buyout which will be closed in the 2nd quarter. (coming up) Nextel didnt want to pay the costs to go into those areas where nextel partners currently serves, so that is what formed nextel partners. they have a great relationship, but sometimes their fees, rate plans, and charges are differnt. if you were in an area where nextel partners serves, i think you would get a bill from them. (nextel partners) soon, that wont be the case. nextel partners, is basically another company that builds towers, owns spectrum, and operates normally, but it is majority owned by nextel. they had a clause in their agreement, that if nextel were to either be bought out or buy, nextel wou...

as soon as the merger with nextel partners is closed, then yes, it will be nextel. (you obviouisly will get your bill with the Sprint logo)
