Why is it that sometimes when people call me after the third ring when the call goes to voicemail they here "Please hold your call is being transferred to an automated voicemail system" and other times the call goes straight to my greeting and they don't hear "Please hold your call is being transferred to an autoamted voicemail system"?

well usually after the 3rd or 4th ring it goes right to voice mail and that is why you get that message, but there are somtimes when the user is on either direct connect or the internet and you would get "please hold while we locate the nextel customer" (or something of that sort) then if it keeps on trying and if its unsuccessful, then it will go to the voicemail.

sometimes depending on where i am they don't get the message before it goes to voicemail.
