Sprint exec projects shallower price cuts for major carriers in '06

Sprint Nextel Corp. COO Len Lauer said carriers likely would be less aggressive in reducing prices in 2006, in large part because growth in average minutes used per customer is expected to slow. "There will be some price declines, but I think it will be a little more restrained than previous years," Lauer said, adding that he expects average customer monthly minutes to grow between 10% and 16%.
