want out of your nextel contract? here is your loop hole
under contract with nextel? want out with out paying 200.00 etf? here you go.. you port you number to sprint. nextel waives all etf's for this. once your sprint acct is opened, you cancel within 14 days. they waive the etf. you pay the activation fee, and for the days of service your acct was opened. this does work, i just spent 2 years working for nextel.

This is a trick that Cingular customers did during the ATT merger. It doesn't work most of the time, but it will if you speak to a stupid rep that don't know how to do their job. I know if you try that in a store it's not gonna work, so good luck.

theoretically, they could get you for fraud, too. Let's say you called nextel, about a billing issue. Things didn't go your way, and you told them to cancel it. They told you there was a 200.00 fee to cancel. You go to Sprint, port over your number, then cancel. Well, lets say nextel catches your # in the crossfire, and researches your calls (because they record them, as does Sprint and everyone else, for "quality assurance".....They would still bill you, and have a possible fraud case on you.

it would cost them more to sue for fraud then just to let it go

I wouldn't go based on that... fraud get's sent to legal, legal attempts to resolve at minimum cost, then writes it off... the write off is purchased by a 3rd party that pays for delinquencies and write offs and pursues the recollection of said paid for funds with gusto.

Gee, when the wireless companies use plans and contracts to their advantage they are just being good capitalists.
When the consumer uses the plans and contracts to their advantage they are committing fraud?
WTF is wrong with you people?

seems you were let go or very jaded to break your non-disclosure agreement. I would also suggest that you refrain from disclosing such matters as you are encouraging phantom churn and subsequent legal action could be taken.
