Blackberry and AIM messenger Customer Service Please Help

I know that through AIM messenger (aol instant messenger), I can use the sprint relay for my son to have a phone, and I know this is covered in the data plan( or at least I hope it is). My question is I have recently bought two blackberry's, one 7520 which I have now and one 7100i in a couple of days. Currently i am using a I870 and put my sim in the 7520 to make sure everything is working. There is a software called Ramble IM that allows the blackberry to connect to AIM and it works fine also. Dont really need any of the things on blackberry data plan. Right now the sim is in the BB and I can use the Ramble software to IM no problem. Saw on another forum that nextel will automatically put me on a bb plan though is they see that I am using a blackberry. Not sure if it is true or not though. All I need is the ability to IM through aol so he can use the sprint relay service.
Part of the BB Unlimited Data plan is the ability to use IM.... not so sure about Sprint but with T-Mobile it is that way when I have my SIM Card in the BB Device.
