My brother and I want to join Nextel but all we hear is negative comments about Sprint. So we are tentative, is it good to join Nextel or should we shy away?

I work for sprint originally nextel, the way i see it try it out, you do have 30 days to try it out. Try it see if you like it, if you dont cxl if you do then keep it. We have great plans, The best PTT and very rugged phones. "don't knock it till you try it"

Well I'm not knocking it, but everybody else seems to knock it. We are with Alltel now, but it would cost us $449 to come over to Nextel and get a pair of the i580's. And the family plan with unlimited text and pic messaging.

Yes, and a very reasonable price. Too bad the i530 was discontinued...from experience, it would be my first choice. I've had the i530, i730, and now the i850, and the i530 picks up the best out of the three of them. Also a very rugged, strong phone, and sweet looking as well (yellow and black is awesome). I bet the i670 isn't far off though for reception. Remember, sometimes newer isn't always better...

Well It depends on where you are located, and where you travel too, Nextel plans are the same as sprint plans now. Ask friends and family what they use in your area's like your neighbor, employees you work with. That is the best advice- Find the carrier that works best for you the 2 way is awesome I have 550 people in my phone and I use about 2K minutes per month, btw Nextel's 2 way is billed by the second but all the plans are unlimited now.
