okay. Its official

The Motorola Q is 199.99 with a $100 mail-in rebate. The $20 Mail-in rebate on the Motorola Bluetooth h700 is also official.

I like the phone. But I think the battery life is JUNK. jmho (and my data support guys opinion).

I highly recommend a second battery.

In order to get a pda phone at the discount price it is a requirement to sign for the smart choice plans. That's what the person was talking about. If they buy at retail then they can just pay 30 a month for the data or just use it as a phone without it.

I ordered one today. I didn't get the second battery or any other accessories as the sales rep wasn't up to speed and nothing was on the site about the Q accessories. They recommended and I will search some of these forums for goody ideas.

I must say I can't get rid of my 3 yr old Moto 731 fast enough. Worst phone Moto ever made IMHO.

What if I want the phone, but dont want the smart phone packages? I went to the store today and their cheapest one is about $90 a month - if I'm not going to use the internet or anything of the sort do I need to have this special plan?
