Samsung r510 "the wafer"

1.3 mp camera, non flip, really thin, its OK at best, but its a samsung...so check out this phone in May and see if its worth $70 w/ 2 yr.

Samsung "Snap"

flip VGA camera phone, good aero-dynamics if user decides to huck it across the room (which is what you'll want to do with it)

(hype is you can use the camera to compose a MMS from a hand-writing message. I've tried the phone out, it's crap, but hey, it's gonna be $10 w/ 2yr, so what do you expect... What I don't understand is: what is stopping ANY camera phone user from taking a pic of a hand-written note and sending a pic mms to another user...this is def. groundbreaking tech here.

I just did it, with my 15 month old 6255 (another carrier). Sent it to my employee's 8910 (also co-incidentaly 15 months old). He had no problems reading it. So what's the big deal, besides pushing pic messaging?

exactly, its hype is you dont have to type txt mms, instead you take a pic of it and the phone produces a poor-quality copy of it using its VGA camera and sends a pic mms to the other party...something that could be done already with a much better quality camera (ie LG 8600, Moto razr, etc.)

I think it's going to be more of an example of good advertising selling inconsequential services. Alltel really is good at that!
