Take a look at motorola Q, it is a midprice range windows based smart phone. Do yourself a favor though and get an expandable memory card at time of purchase. They come with 64mb memory so not much but if you go ahead and invest in at least a gig memory card you will be happy with the Q.

Will it take a 2G or bigger card? What's the limit?

Well with the new 8 gig cards coming out, I just wondered if the Q had a limit. I had heard that a memory card made the difference between love and hate on this phone.

Makes all the difference in the world. Just bear in mind it is a mini computer the larger the driver/memory the faster the computer/phone.

Well, everyone I've ever heard complaining about this phone, either Verizon or Alltel, hasn't had a card.

The old Moto 710, had a similar issue. The camera quality and call quality improved with the insertion of even a 64mb micro card. So it's apparantly a pattern of manufacture.

my major issue with the phone compared to what i have now is that it has a smaller keyboard also that it doesn't have wifi is a major thing for me, hence forth y i was hoping for the 6800 or something like it.
