yeah. I can recieve texts from my wife, but can't seem to send ones. I duno if there's a block, but frankly, I don't use that feature much, or at all.

weird thing is tht i cant recieve pics from sprint or verizon now. . . grrrrr 😈 wonder whats going on

Something is filtering in Alltel's towers. You've stated your friends are experiencing the same problem. I'm sure your picture mail will be up and going by the end of tomorrow. I'm sure there's been a lot of trouble tickets made with your same issue. Will see. Let us know.

well yesterday my phone actually started acting weird--everytime i pused the the up bottom to see the contacts my phone would restart. so i tried to see my contacts by the menu but no matter what route i take once i try to get into my contacts my phone restarts.

so i had to call alltel, the tech said it was a known issue for the 5600 so instead of shipping me another one i was able to get it from the store itself if they have one. 🤨

i guess now ill find out if the issue was my phone or not, which i doubt it because my sis in law seems to be having the same issue.

neways ima have it trouble shoot it before i take it, so keep posting.
i hope i can keep my battery though.

i meanr to say the 8600 and that ill keep posting.. think i was typing to fast.

also im yet to recieve another carriers pic message.

Do you know if you have an ip address attached to your number to get your pictures. Example, [email protected]. If so, have Alltel switch your address, and see if that works.

ok heres the update:

my phone lg ax8600 started doing something crazy- everytime i tried to go to my contacts it would reset itself--on top of not being able to recieve pic messages from other providers-and the my account being down. i was a tiny bit frusturated.

i called talked to an alltel rep, explained that my phone was starting to have a mind of his own, and she looked up the problem and said instead of sending me a new one through the mail i was able to go to the store and exchange it because it was a know issue. RELIEF i wasnt gonna have to wait another week.

so i went to the alltel store- the nice lady went ahead and got my new phone, i asked if i can keep my orginal battery (cz i know one of the other issues of this phone ...

Ghange your ip or nai, that should be the fix. Seems to me the ip or nai is corrupted.

At the moment voice and data are parallel on CDMA. When you sign up with Alltel's picture mail, Alltel will attach a ip or nai that will send and recieve data. Example: wap web browsing, picture mail, etc.

Call Alltel tech support (if they have one), and inform Alltel to create or change your ip or nai.

Hopefully this will solve your issue.

Alltel should of known this. You threw me off when you stated others were having the same issue.
If more than one is having the same issue, that tells me that it's a possible network isssue.
I'm glad to hear your issue is fixed.
