Can anybody help me with this phone?
For the last year or so i've had the kyocera kx5 slider, and while it worked i liked it. It came with the mp3 headset as well as as the cables necessary to put mp3s/ringtones on the phone. It crapped out on me, and I was given the u520 as the replacement. I switched my data card, it didnt recognize anything, i formatted it and all my ringtones were gone. How do I go about putting stuff on this phone? I dont want to buy ringtones, i want to be able to make my own. Any help would be appreciated. Again, this is the Samsuing u520 i need help with, and from what im reading on the internet, you might not even be able to set your mp3s as ringtones.

To put music on the card for the mp3 player it will go in the My_music folder on the memory card. Now ringotnes I am not really sure. I did not use the phone that long to play with it. I would try putting the ringtone in the my music folder then try to move it to the phone(just a thought)

You cant make your mp3 or whatever as your ringtone. Samsung disabled it so that you couldnt. But u should be thankful they gave u such a nice phone to replace such a crappy one!

They offered me the moto e815, the lgAX355, and the other Samsung slider initially, but I told them i didn't want to downgrade on the replacement and wouldnt take any of those, so the manager offered me either a RAZR or the u520 so i went with it (ive had bad experiences with motos in the past). Im gonna try and figure out this ringtone thing one way or another tho. Thanks for the help anyways guys.

You can. It just takes a little work. I've managed to get this working via bluetooth on my wife's U520. Directions can be found here:

Hey, Thanks Flash. I went to that site, and followed those instructions, and they actually worked. Thanks for the link buddy. Now I got my own ringtones again.
