new alltel phones????
I was wondering if anyone knew of any phones that are going to be coming out soon for alltel. I am going to be upgrading my plan and will be getting a new phone and was just curious if anybody knew anything. Thanks.

Sit tight. The Motorazr 2 was announced for Alltel before the end of this quarter, more than likely. There's also a new Blackberry on the way before the end of the month, from what I hear. Everything else, as far as I know, is up in the air due to the Qualcomm/Broadcom suit.

The lawsuit is about a number. They haven't found the number they can agree on yet. Once that information is agreed to by the litigants, all the smoke will clear, cellular handset companies will know who will be supplying them with chips, and, best of all, we will know what phones will be coming out and when we will see them. As a practical matter, this is the time of year now when new handsets are released, in order for the public to become familiar enough with them so that holiday gifts can be purchased, and new lines of service can be established, not to mention those who are upgrading.
