Lg Ax8600 problem!!
Well, when i first bought this phone, it was around the end of june, there weren't any problems, but now, once in a while whenever i use it, it sometimes freezes then cut off then power back on , and it does that like, once every hour.....So i went to the alltel store, the phone just had to work perfectly there, lol...and the lady said there weren't any problems, and hour went by, the phone started to act up again....i went back up there, the phone worked perfectly there, as before, the lady told me the only thing to do is file an insurance claim , and pay 50 bucks..........i called the 1800 number, and they told me to do the same....Is there anyway i can go around without paying that fee, i know it may not seem like alot, but thats 50 bucks...

The phone is under a one year warranty if you got it in June. The Alltel store can do an XBM (exchange by mail) and you won't have to pay anything. You will get another phone exactly like yours, and you will have to keep the battery that came with your original 8600, and send the original phone back in the box that your replacement came in.
The only problem that I've run across with the 8600 was the paint peeling on the gold and green models. Hadn't heard about any software or electronic problem up until this one.
Hope this helps you out a bit.

Did they mention if it was moisture damage? Is there any physical damage that they thought wouldn't be accepted by the repair vendor? That is the only reason they should tell you to file an insurance claim.
Yes you do have a monthly premium but then you have the deductable.
