6700 to 6800 Insurance Replacement?
Does anyone know how long it will take for alltel and Asurion (Phone Insurance) to recognize the PPC-6800 as an insurance replacement for a PPC-6700. I went to get my 6700 replaced and they said that I would be getting a Treo 700 wx, which is an inferior model. Now I have to cancel my claim with Asurion and wait until the 6800 is designated as the replacement. Thanks in advace.

Tumtum this is what they told me as well but I then told them that it is not =, and one of the managers did an override for me and i got my 6800 due to the fact that they are equal..

I spoke with a local Alltel corporate store and they said that if a manager overrides, Alltel has to pay for the phone and they will only do it with extenuating circumstances. Is this true? What did you do to get the 6800?

Told them that the trio is not a equal phone, and that per the Ins i should get an equal phone, one of the guys at the store knows me and did the override for the rep, but said nothing of the cost, and i would think they would if that was true, just call around and see who will do it for you. or make friends with the mgt staff at that store..
