WILL MY MINUTES STILL BE UNLIMITED? WILL MY TEXT STILL BE UNLIMITED? IS THERE ANY COVERAGE IN MEMPHIS, TN?

Tennessee, you'll have to be a little more forthcoming. You have a plan with unlimited ANYTIME minutes on Alltel??? If you have an unlimited text package, that doesn't take away from your minutes at all. As far as Memphis is concerned, if there is not an Alltel presence there (as in, can you get a Memphis phone number on Alltel), I'm almost 100% sure you'll be able to use your phone there. Alltel has "friendly roaming" with carriers all over the United States. If Alltel isn't there, than either Sprint or Verizon or both are. Your roaming indicator will flash on and off, and you will be roaming, but you won't pay for it. On the other hand, if your indicator stays on without flashing, then you are roaming and you will pay the roaming ch...

Since Alltel has that big roaming agreement with Sprint, an Alltel phone will roam on Sprint before Verizon Wireless. I don't know how well both services are, but remember that Sprint will always be preferred over Verizon.

you are correct. Alltel and Verizon are in a divorce situation now. Verizon has us using USCC over alltel everywhere in the midwest. I wish alltel and verizon would kiss and make up so we both can have the benefits of using each others great service. USCC does not stack up to alltel in Nebraska. The customers (children) are in the middle of this deal.
