insurance questions
i have a moto krazr and my wife has a moto e815. i have noticed that alltel doesnt carry either of those phones anymore. i was wondering if i did a insurance claims on those phones what would i get?? i was told they would put me into a samsung u520, which i think would be a downgrade from what i have. plus i think the u520 is on the $5 a month insurance, where i'm paying the $7. Do you think they would put me into a new razr2 when they come out 😁 ? just wondering.. if anyone knows

Yesterday I claimed my insurance (which I think was 5 a month) and got the u520.
The u520 does not have too many huge differences. the only one I am unhappy with is the fact that mp3s cannot be used as ringtones (I'm working on getting around that, I think texts can be saved as ringtones). It's a small screen but the phone itself is much smaller so it makes sense.
I am guessing they will not give you the Razr2 because the retail prices are too different. The u520 is the most comparable phone to the e815 and thats what Alltel will most likely give you.
But hey I love the Samsung so far, and I sell phones at Best Buy I think samsung > motorola any day

No, it may be the LG wave or whatever its called.
They go with the phone with the closest features i.e. 1.3 megapixel camera mp3 bluetooth etc. as well as the retail price.

they will replace your krzr with the lg 8600 right now. assuming the store doesnt have a asurian krzr to give u. i can however see them replacing the krzr with the razr 2 when it comes out because it will be the only phone alltel will carry that warrants the 7 dollar premium ins.

i was wondering about that. no way would i pay a $95 deductible for a samsung or lg phone. do alot of the stores have the asurion refurb krazrs? i will keep my fingers crossed for a razr v9m aka razr2 😁

Why would they give a brand new Razr2 which is going to cost them a bundle instead of a used 8600 or Krzr, or even u520. Doesn't make sense to me

then i want money back on my insurance for the last 6 months on a krazr that i will get downgraded to a non-premium insurance phone when i do a claim.
