Will Alltel phones work in CancÃºn?

We have a sister in CancÃºn right now, working at an orphanage and trapped in the hurricane. Is there any chance her Alltel phone (CDMA) will work down there?

here are a couple of links that may help you I can't see any maps but Cancun is listed as CDMA I am not sure what roaming you will incur I imagine it will be pretty pricy without a roaming agreement

This is WAY too late to answer this thread, but for the record.. as of right now, Alltel does not have a roaming agreement with any Mexico Cellular companies. If you try to dial anything while in Cancun, you will get a fast busy.
