problems with alltel - LG ax5000
I bought the LG ax5000 from alltel 2 months ago and have recently had problems with phone locking up while in picture mode or just automatically cutting itself off after I end a call with someone. Either have to disconnect battery or restart phone.
The camera problems have been since day 1, but I don't use camera enought to let it bother me. But the auto-shutoff after every call is very annoying.
I know the "trial period" to return it is up, but I hate to have to pay the $50 insurance claim on a $75 phone.
Any advice on how to take it back and possibly switch to a Motorola since they seem to always give me the best service. Do you think if I complain hard enough they'll help me...I've been a customer for 10 years now!

Alltel should trade out your phone at no cost under the warranty. I have traded out phones on four different occasions and I never had to pay them a cent. I am not sure if they will let you switch out the phone to a different one, but there shouldn't be any problem getting another LG ax5000. It never hurts to try though. Good luck!

actually that is a know problem with the software and the good news is if you return it to the alltel store they will actually doa it for you and give you a new one due to the software. Lg extended the doa process so that should take care of the problem is the software is the fix and it will be in the new phone they give you.
