1 Billion for Midwest!!!!
Does 1 Billion sound like a lot for Midwest Wireless? WWC sold for 6 Billion but with 100 times larger coverage, GSM and more customers. Am I missing something or does this seem like a lot for Midwest Wireless or was WWC just a bargain?

Does anyone know when the sale will take place, I currently have service Midwest Wireless and I am anxious for Alltel to take over so I can get the new Razr v3c, I really don't want to swich to Verizon or a GSM provider to get a Razr

well, they bought Midwest Wireless on NOV 18,2005.
it is expected to be closed in the 1st half of 2006. it depends how quickly the regultory bodies and Alltel with regards to this buyout. there will be divestitures so i am sure there could be further delay.
my guess is sometime in the first half of 2006. i will update everyone on the whole situation with the fcc, and ftc approvals (if they come with conditions probably) as the time comes.
