I'm tempted to go for the two year contract next Monday for my Slider remix because of the price, but I really don't want to do the whole two year thing. I was thinking about the one year contract but not sure. Can anybody give me some advice about the contracts? Thanks!

if a one year is available, pay the extra $50 or whatever it is for the phone and only get locked for a year.

Yes, that is what I'm leaning toward-going with the one year contract. I just want to make sure I'll be able to do that and not have to get the two year. I'm going the exact day my 90 days starts which is next Monday. I have a Kyocera rave right now. I want a slider remix. WIll I be able to get it with a one year contract for the slightly bigger price? Maybe this is a stupid question, but I don't want to walk in there and have my mind set on something only to have someone tell me I can't do it.

It's $60 more for a 1yr contract over a 2yr contract. Plus the $50 mail-in rebate would not apply to the 1 yr contract price.

Sign up for an extra yr. The WC who sells you the phone will get an extra couple bucks off you. Remember to try out MMS / MobWeb...1st month free on most data packages...

Personally the one year is worth the money to me but with the remix you do not get the rebate so the price difference is quite bit bigger.

Ok, so let's say I get the two year. What if I drop it in the rain again and the battery starts not working well? Then I'm going to have to wait forever again. Should I get the insurance with it? Would that safeguard against this kind of thing?

If you get the two year you better get insurance just to keep your replacement price low. Also when they discontinue that phone you will have insurance to get into something newer with similiar features. Insurance is the best safeguard though even though it is still a few dollars.

Okay, I'm starting to understand a little better. I get the replacement price. Now, when they discontinue the phone, can I only get something newer if something happens to the other one? I think I read somewhere that it's like $7 a month for the insurance. Am I right?

For the high end phones that would be right

RAZR or e815?

Tell me your thoughts please, I've done my homework on each, just not sure which would be the best.

Need loud, clear reception, good signal.
Loud, clear, strong vibrate/ringers
Decent Camera
mp3s (How do i get them from computer if i can)
price isn't an issue

easy to use as well
