Dear Alltel...

I came up with this letter after reading in the Verizon forums.

Dear Alltel:

Thank you for not being a greedy psychopath who gets off on things like bluetooth mind-games and control tactics. I am thankful that I use my phone with software from the people who designed and created it. I'm also happy I can use the features they were kind enough to think up and put in there. I still don't get your competition. They treat their customers like stupid cattle yet they remain loyal and have a cult following.

In closing, please continue giving me the freedom to put music which I own and paid for onto my phone. Thank you for letting me takes my pictures off for free too. Oh, and thank you for not slapping your name on every square inch...

Dear Alltel:

Thank you also for having roaming agreements with Verizon Wireless in most major citys so that I may pay you but still get the benefit of the nations most reliable wireless network.

Sincerely,

A satisfied customer,
Columbus Ohio

MidnightDT.....
That roaming agreement is a two-way street.

Verizon Wireless most reliable wireless network sure does have several Alltel Wireless towers in it.

In my area Verizon blocks their customers from using our towers. I can have all bars and a verizon customer will have 2.

Veruzon does not block anything...It's called a PRL...I hope, for your sake, you don't work for a cell company...

As a matter of fact I do. I was told this by a tech that works at one of ALLTEL's switchs.

Yeah especially if they want to get away from the big city becuase Verizon owns many rural licenses and they choose not to service those and many rural customers. I appreciate the fact that Alltel gives solid coverage in markets many of the bigger providers refuse to provide.

Yeah and if you want to see what is actually verizons true coverage with their towers, take a look at their prepaid plan brochure...it's horrible. and while you're network is reliable... ours is guaranteed.

Do you know the word Partner share? Verizons customers get as much coverage from alltel if not more. plus verizons evdo network sucks. wait and see the difference when alltel unrolls it this next year. just wait and see.

The only way Alltel Wireless will get close to Seattle is by acquiring the north/western markets from US Cellular. I believe US Cellular does not serve Seattle (at least that what I see from the spectrum holding from US Cellular). Now saying that means the network will be US Cellular's existing network and enhancements or build will be done on a normal construction schedule.

I don't think you will see Alltel in Seattle.

Dear Alltel,
Thank you for giving me the freedom of choosing who I talk to for free, and letting me change my plan once a month if I want. Thank you for paying me back if I forget to put my antenna up and drop a call while I'm in my elevator. Thank you.

A loyal customer and employee,
Cleveland, Ohio
