the razr is made of aircraft steel...........you can drop it tons of times and it will only scratch at the most. now if you bend the hinge and break the flip off that on you. but the razr is VERY durable.

Here's an idea. Don't drop your phone. Do you drop your tv? Do you drop your laptop? All are sensitive electronic devices. If you drop them there will be negative results.

OK. Heres durability for you. I live on a farm so it can be a pretty demanding environment for a phone at times. I try to use the best phone holders and even DON'T carry a phone at times depending on what I'm going to do but my phones still meet mishaps. My Razr has been launched out in the pasture off my 4-wheeler and off my horse several times, was lost in a pile of burning brush (found it in hot smoldering ashes) and I fell in the pond with it last weekend! 😳 Anyway, it has never failed me to this date. In fact, after I figured out I lost it while burning brush and I found it in the hot smoldering ashes, I picked it up wearing gloves and it was too hot to keep in my hand!! I threw it in a small puddle of water (thinking it was toa...

That's a great story, but I have seen them break by a kid sitting on it in class. We have a 75% insurance rate with them. 75% of all the Razrs I have sold since Christmas have already gone to insurance for replacement. My favorite story was the one where the kid hung up on his girl friend, put the phone in his back pocket and closed his car door with his butt. He broke the outside screen, the inside screen and the number 5 on the keypad. I'm not impressed with it's durability.

If you're buying the Razr for durability you got something wrong with you...When the adjective "razor" describes the phone's thinness, its prob gonna giveyou a big hint on how durable it will be...

Amen. But to be fair, there aren't many phones that are up to the abuse that the rural kids around here give them. Any phone will croak after being dropped in a pond after you "disc'ed" it into the wheat feild.

I think it depends on each individual phone a lot of the time, regardless of manufacturer. You can have 2 identical phones and one will perform better than the other in some way. Grant it, there are a lot of phones that are just crap right from the start but I don't think the Razr is one of them (depending on version). I don't think I would stick ANY phone in my back pocket knowing that I will be sitting on it which means I would be putting part of my body weight on an electronic device. And the story with just shutting the car door with the phone in his back pocket and it doing all that damage?...don't think so. The shear laws of physics tells you he was lying out the same **s he used to shut the car door with!! 🤣

Certianly more durable than you would expect...however it's no match for its v710/e815 cousin. My primary gripe with it is the bluetooth (with the exception of voice dialing) is far below the 710/815 in terms of rance...I'll be trading mine for an e815 next chance i get.
