Best Alltel Phone for Chapel Hill

Snuggles

No towers here, terrible service, have used V710, Kx5, Razr and still nothing decent. Would the AX355, 490, Nimbus, KX12, or 6235i work?

Have you checked your coverage through tech support at all in your area? If it's not the network, samsungs are really good at picking up network signals in any network.

Yes it's known in Chapel Hill to have no towers and poor signal for Alltel.

Do you really think the new Samsung Nimbus would work?

Honestly, you dumb son of a bitch, you've got me angry. I apologize for the ill language on the forum but this is getting rediculous.

Snuggles, we know that you have no coverage and we know you dislike the phone lineup, so for the last time go to Verizon or Cingular.

If not that, you say

"Do you really think the new Samsung Nimbus would work?"

NO WE DON'T THAT'S WHY WE HAVE NOT TOLD YOU TO USE IT. FOR THE LAST 3 MONTHS WE'VE TOLD YOU THE E815 IS THE ONLY ONE THAT WILL REMOTELY WORK YET YOU DON'T TAKE OUR ADVICE, GET ANGRY AT US FOR BASHING YOU WHEN YOU OBVIOUSLY AREN'T VERY INTELLIGENT, THEN GO ON WITH YOUR DAILY POSTS ABOUT NEW/BETTER PHONES.

Now for the last time, E815 or Verizon.

-Thanks

If that's an issue as far as not having any towers then I would recommend you change companies. Alltel is a great provider and carrier, but if they don't work in your area then it's not worth your money. I wouldn't recommend a moto like other people are, but that's because I work with phones everyday. Motos, with any carrier, are not going to give you your moneys worth. They have poor software and hardly pick up the service that should be provided, same with LGs. whether its a numbus or not, samsungs have always been reliable for me and my friends. we all work at call centers for different carriers and we always recommend samsungs.

fallen_angel...

Nokias and Motos are the best phones for reception and quality. More so then Samsungs. I don't know what phones you are using but trust me your experience is not the norm.

have you ever even had a samsung? And are you familiar with all types of carriers and networks?

Besides, I never said a damn thing about Nokias.

I'm very familiar with samsungs and the different networks. Samsungs are not bad phones by any means. But overall, Motos and Nokia have the best reception.

samsung got a good reputation with alltel when the n330 came out, because it was digital only it worked better in marginal areas where there was a digital/analog mix.

For my money though i lean toward nokia for reception when im in the middle of no where, there one of the few phones (tri mode) that can either go into analog only or digital only. (most all tri modes can go into analog only, but not digital only)

Yeah....there good. My Moto can do Analog only or Digital preferred, but not digital only. Unless I change the NAM and remove the AMPS SID ๐Ÿ™‚

I don't know how reliable snuggles coverage report is. But he really should switch. This is one of the very rare cases where the GSM carrier might get better reception. Although, Snuggles might get a bit of a reality check if he goes to a p o s company like Suncom.

What good are the features if you can't use the service?
