Ok so today I went into the alltel store again because my 6255i wouldnt do a prl update! Since I purchased the phone there 14 months ago, they could help me. So they tried connecting it to the computer to do a prl update. No luck. It turns out that nokia had somehow blocked a prl update on my phone. The store manager, who also knows me because my friend/old neighbor used to work with her, and she had met me before at social events throught my neighbor, said that she could give me one of the "old" phones lying around. She said it would be nothing like my 6255i, but it would get me through my contract. She went back into her office and came back with a Kyocera Slider Remix.
