So today I figured out if i set up a virtual modem with my dial up isp address, I can connect to the internet. I need to know if this will charge me for the data service or just minutes? I dont have the network as axcess mobile high speed, that is what I change. But then i figured if all i do is use minutes I can add the dial up number to my top ten, and never have to worry about using minutes to connect. Does this all sound feasible

I'm going to say "no".

But then the system has be worked around before.

I know it's a bit pricy, but why not just add Mobile-Link? Save the hassle, and the trouble.

The Smartphone or 1x/EVDO Handset Tethering is $25/mo and it doesnt use your minutes. I think you could swing that.

If it is dialup then no, it only uses minutes. If you are connecting another by dialing #777 then it will take data. So the answer to your question should be no. It is only using minutes.

i used to do this with my motorola v710 using motorola phone tools. if u use your phone as a dial up modem, it only uses your minutes, NOT data. think about it, the phone and alltel only knows that ur making a call, noting about net. u should be fine.
