Download photos from Katana
I upgraded recently to the katana phone with Qwest. I'd read of downloading data from cell to PC so I ordered a product(usb cable & software) only to find that the product was apparently carrier specific and guess what? It only worked with Sprint. Of course I have the option of paying $15 per month to upload photos to a site, but I'd like to know if I'm truly dead in the water on this. I've read of freeware usb drivers and compatable cables available, but don't know if this is possible "generically" with Qwest. Thanks in advance for any info you may have.

Thanks for replying. Yes, I did manage to find bitpim and for the most part it works very well. I've been able to d/l photos from cell to pc with only a couple of problems, but the last couple of times it's been more reliable. On a couple of ocasions, it failed to detect my phone, but all in all it's been very good. Thanks again.
